We loved our old Sony camera, a 3.2 megapixel Cyber-shot DSC-P52, so we were happy to get this new model. Unfortunately, we just had to it for two weeks before returning to Amazon.
Yes, there is a wealth of smart features, including exotic things, like a sensor smile and Full HD video. And when I was out taking pictures of my roses in the landscape in the sunlight, the images were quite lively and exuberant.
But when I brought them flowers and put them in a vase, I could not get a decent shot using one of many settings, with or without flash. In something akin to normal indoor light, or even low light, the photo came out blurry, out of focus, and full of noise. It was not just my house, either. I had the same problem of taking pictures in an event of the church. Good outside, inside terrible.
The bottom line? I really wanted to love this camera, but has a limited set of skills, we could not stand it. I'm shopping again, and asked this noise problem is not in any 12MP cameras.

My only complaint is that the instruction manual is on a disc which can be downloaded to a computer, but with no printed manual, looking up something on the fly is impossible.
